Justus von Liebig
Justus von Liebig (Darmstadt , 12. maj 1803 . - München , 18. februar 1873 ) bio je njemački hemičar.[1]
Bio je profesor u Giessenu, Heidelbergu i Münchenu . Na Univerzitetu u Giessenu organizirao je sistematsku teorijsku i praktičnu nastavu hemije , koja je poslužila kao uzor svim univerzitetima svijeta. Jedan je od utemeljitelja agrokulturne i fiziološke hemije. Usavršio je elementarnu analizu organskih spojeva , sintetizirao hloroform , hloral i niz drugih organskih spojeva, uveo u poljoprivredu umjetno gnojenje tla, izradio propise za proizvodnju ogledala , praška za pečenje, ekstrakta mesa i dr.
