The subdivisions of Jordan are as follows:

• Governorates of Jordan (muhafazah) – first level
• Nahias of Jordan (nahiyah) – second level
• Kazas of Jordan (kaza) – third level
• Municipalities (amanah), e.g. Greater Amman Municipality
