Amlash (Persian: املش, also Romanized as Amlesh; also known as Amlish)[3] is a city in the Central District of Amlash County, Gilan province, Iran, serving as both capital of the district and of the county. Amlash sits at an altitude of 13 metres (45 feet).[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 15,047 in 4,350 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 14,915 people in 4,718 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 15,444 people in 5,268 households.[2]
