"Beside You" is a song by English singer-songwriter James Blunt. It was released by Atlantic Records UK on 2 August 2023 as the lead single to the singer's seventh studio album, Who We Used to Be.[1] The song loosely interpolates "Alla Luce Del Giorno" by Italian composer Ennio Morricone.[2]

Music video

The official music video was released on 10 August 2023. It was directed by Craig Bingham.[3]

Live performances

Blunt performed the single on The Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty.[4][5]

Chart performance

On 25 August 2023, "Beside You" charted at number 22 on the UK Singles Downloads Chart[6] and at number 25 on the UK Singles Sales Chart.[7]
