Carex arsenei is a tussock-forming perennial in the family Cyperaceae, that is native to southern parts of Mexico.[1]
It can reach up to heights of 40 centimeters (16 inches). It has a light green to yellow-green stem and leaves. It has a white to pale brown inflorescence. The flowers are small yellow spikelet. The nutlet is small and dark brown.[2]
