Damagaram Takaya is a department of the Zinder Region in Niger. Its administrative seat is the city of Damagaram Takaya. As of 2012, the department had a total population of 241,169 people.[1]
History
The department dates back to the administrative post (poste administratif) of Damagaram Takaya, which was established in 1964.[2] In 2011, the administrative post was separated from the department of Mirriah and elevated to the department of Damagaram Takaya.[3]
