Felice Arena is an Australian children's author and actor. He is best known for the football-themed Specky Magee series; his historical novels The Boy and the Spy, Fearless Frederic, A Great Escape and The Unstoppable Flying Flanagan; and his tongue-twisting picture book 'Pasta!.
Biography
Arena was born in Kyabram, Victoria, and attended La Trobe University, in Bendigo, Victoria. Soon after graduating as a primary school teacher he decided to pursue a career in acting and writing.[1]
Arena is also an actor and singer. He played the role of Marco Alessi in the Australian soap opera Neighbours for a year. He also starred in London West End musicals including Hair and Godspell.[2]

Specky Magee
The Specky Magee series, written by Arena and his former schoolmate and Melbourne Football Club star Garry Lyon,[citation needed] have also been shortlisted for numerous Australian Children Choice awards—including three-time winner of the Young Australian Best Book Award. There are eight books in the series.[citation needed]
