Giyan (Persian: گيان, also Romanized as Gīyān; also known as Kīān, Qīān, and Qayān)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Giyan District of Nahavand County, Hamadan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,062 in 1,999 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 8,102 people in 2,340 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,186 people in 2,553 households.[2]
