Kobie Turner (born April 26, 1999) is an American football nose tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Richmond and Wake Forest.

College career

Turner attended Centreville High School in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Turner joined the University of Richmond as a walk-on in 2018.[1][2] He played at Richmond from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, he was named the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Overall, he played in 37 games with 27 starts and recorded 158 tackles and 15 sacks.[3]

Turner transferred to Wake Forest University in 2022.[4][5] He finished the year with 38 tackles and two sacks.[6]

Turner was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round with the 89th pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.[9] In his first season, Turner led all NFL rookie defensive players with 9.0 sacks. He was awarded with the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for December.[10]

Personal life

Turner is known for his distinctive singing skills, having ran three A cappella groups while in high school, earning himself the nickname "The Conductor".[11][12]
