Lužice (German: Luschitz) is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,900 inhabitants.
Lužice lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Hodonín, 52 km (32 mi) south-east of Brno, and 237 km (147 mi) south-east of Prague.
History
The first written mention of Lužice is from 1250. From 1511, it was part of the Hodonín estate.[2]
The municipality was heavily damaged by the 2021 South Moravia tornado.[3]
