Lucius II: The Prophecy [1]is a psychological horror game that serves as a loose sequel to the original Lucius. Developed and published by Shiver Games, it was officially announced on August 8, 2014, and later released in February 2015 for Microsoft Windows.

Announced on 8 August 2014[2] and later released in February 2015, it received mixed reviews from critics. A sequel, titled Lucius III, was released on 13 December 2018.[3]


Plot: The narrative revolves around Lucius being confined to the psychiatric ward of St. Benedict's Hospital. Players must guide Lucius as he escapes from the hospital and navigates the eerie town of Ludlow. Detective McGuffin becomes a crucial ally, recognizing Lucius's true potential and assisting him along the way.


Sequel: A sequel titled Lucius III was subsequently released on December 13, 2018, continuing the narrative and expanding on the gameplay mechanics introduced in Lucius II.

Reception

Reception: Upon its release, Lucius II received mixed reviews from critics. While some praised the game's departure from linearity, diverse gameplay mechanics, and eerie atmosphere, others expressed concerns about certain aspects of the game.
