Oli 968 (Tamil: ஒலி 968) is an infotainment radio station in the Tamil language owned by Mediacorp playing for the Indian community in Singapore offering the latest Tamil songs, regional Indian songs, local and international news, lifestyle features and Indian contemporary and classical hits of 24 hours a day. It used to be the only station in Singapore where all of its shows were presenter-led, especially during the early hours. This has since changed as it airs non-stop music and podcasts of earlier aired programs after 1:00am on weekdays while non-stop music airs uninterrupted on weekends.

The programmes on Oli 968 as of 2023 include Vanakkham Singai with Rafi and Haleema on mornings, Anantham Arambam with Vimala and Nithiyia on lunchtime, Tea Kadai with Sajini and Ravi G on evenings and Iravinil Aattam with Guna and Kather on overnight.

It provides Tamil news and information programs and broadcasts Tamil songs.

This radio is also broadcast through Vasantham from the end time until the broadcast starts during the end broadcast.

History

It is one of the nation's oldest stations, tracing its origins back to the beginning of regulated radio broadcasting in Singapore/Straits Settlements along with Gold 905, Warna 942 and Capital 958 on 1 March 1937.

The AM frequency was first used in 1963 to provide a second audio channel for TV Singapura.[1][2]

In late 1991, it was announced that Radio 4 was to be renamed Olikkalanjiam, meaning "treasure house of sound".[3]

On 7 June 2014, Oli 96.8FM launched their new logo at Bukit Panjang Plaza.[4]
