Ridhima Ghosh is an Indian Bengali film and television actress known for Rang Milanti one of the most appreciated films of the year 2011 directed by Kaushik Ganguly.[1] She debuted on the big screen Sanghamitra Chaudhuri's Raatporir Rupkotha in 2007. Ghosh gained popularity for acting in the Bengali classic periodic thriller television series Byomkesh (2014-2015), where she played the role of 'Satyabati' (the wife of iconic Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshi).
She also became the first celebrity model for the first edition of the FFACE Calendar.
Education
Ghosh had her schooling at the Loreto House in Kolkata. She subsequently earned a degree in English Literature from Bhawanipur Education Society College.
Personal life
Ridhima was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on 18 January 1989.[2] Her upbringing was in Kolkata. She has had a relationship with actor Gaurav Chakrabarty. She met with Gaurav in the script reading of Rang Milanti for the first time on 5 September 2010. She got married to Gaurav on 28 November 2017.[3] She gave birth to a male child named Dheer on 16 September 2023.[4]
Career
Ridhima made her silver screen debut with the film Raatporir Rupkotha, a romantic drama directed by Sanghamitra Chaudhuri, that released in 2007. She played a secondary character 'Dia' in the film.
Ridhima debuted on television in the Star Jalsha megaserial Bou Kotha Kao. She played 'Neera', the female lead antagonist. Later she was cast in some feature films.
She gained popularity on silver screen through Rang Milanti, that released in September 2011 to wide critical and commercial acclaim. She played the official female lead 'Kamalika' in the film.
She was back on television through Byomkesh on Colors Bangla in 2014. It brought her huge success and popularity. Ghosh's character 'Satyabati' was the official female lead. Her acting as 'Satyabati' was well-received and beloved by audience. She gained popularity through this character. The on-screen chemistry between Gaurav and Ridhima was beloved and well appreciated by audience.[5]
Later she was cast in some telefilms, feature films and many web series.
