The VR Class Sm7 is a planned Finnish EMU (electric multiple unit) train that has been ordered for commuter rail service on the lines D, R, T, Z and M. The new trains will have 4 carriages per unit, be 50% more energy efficient then the older stock.[1] They are planned to replace the Sm4 and Sm2[2][3] VR bought 20 commuter rail units from Stadler based on the Sm5 trains made by Stadler like the already existing Stadler Flirt based Sm5.
Interior
The Sm7 will have a modifiable interior, where if needed more bicycle spots can be added during summer and the trains have tables with the chairs, so using a computer is easier. The trains also have free wifi for all passengers and charging sockets for all seats.
