Yaycı is a köy (village) in the Iğdır District of Iğdır Province, Turkey.[1] Its population is 794 (2022).[2] The village is populated by Azerbaijanis.[3]

History

The village is one of the 21 Muslim villages around Iğdır, which Armenian gangs raided and killed the men and raped the women in August 1919. On September 17, 1920, again a part of the village was murdered.[4]

Geography

The village lies on a 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) distance by road of the district capital of Iğdır.
