Anexo:Premio Grammy al mejor álbum para niños

El premio al Mejor Álbum Infantil se otorga a los artistas que graban obras que contienen actuaciones de calidad dirigidas a los niños. Es una categoría de los Premio Grammy otorgada desde 1959, que ha tenido varias denominaciones a lo largo del tiempo:

  • De 1959 a 1960, el premio fue conocido como Mejor Grabación para Niños.
  • En 1961, fue premiado como Mejor Álbum Creado para Niños.
  • De 1962 a 1968, fue premiada como Mejor Grabación para Niños
  • En 1969, no se entregó ningún premio en el Campo Infantil
  • De 1970 a 1991, fue premiada como Mejor Grabación para Niños
  • De 1992 a 1993, fue premiado como Mejor Álbum para Niños
  • De 1994 a 2011, la categoría del premio se dividió en Mejor Álbum Musical para Niños y Mejor Álbum Hablado para Niños.
  • De 2012 a 2019, pasó a denominarse Mejor Álbum Infantil, tras fusionarse las categorías Mejor Álbum Musical Infantil y Mejor Álbum Hablado Infantil (básicamente volviendo a la situación anterior a 1994, aunque con un pequeño cambio de nombre).
  • En 2020, los álbumes infantiles de palabra hablada se trasladaron a la categoría Mejor Álbum Hablado para Niños. La categoría pasó a llamarse Mejor Álbum de Música Infantil.

La reestructuración de estas y otras categorías en 2012 fue el resultado del deseo de la Academia de la Grabación de reducir la lista de categorías y premios. Según la Academia, "[aprobó] la propuesta de que volver a una categoría para todos los tipos de grabaciones para niños, como fue el caso entre 1958 y 1993, sería lo más apropiado en este nuevo contexto".[1]​

Los años reflejan la fecha en que los Premios Grammy fueron entregados en reconocimiento a los logros discográficos alcanzados por los artistas musicales durante el año anterior.
