Jirgin ƙasa

Rail transport (wanda akafi sani da train transport) hanya ce ta sufuri da ake amfani da motoci masu tafiya a cikin waƙoƙi, wanda yawanci ya ƙunshi guda biyu a layi daya steel rails.[1]Jirgin kasa na daya daga cikin manyan hanyoyin safarar kasa guda biyu, kusa da road transport. Rolling stock on rails generally encounters lower frictional resistance than rubber-tyred road vehicles, allowing rail cars to be coupled into longer trains. Power is usually provided by diesel or electrical locomotives. While railway transport is capital-intensive and less flexible than road transport, it can carry heavy loads of passengers and cargo with greater energy efficiency and safety.[lower-alpha 1]
