Malcolm St. Clair (17 Mei 1897 – 1 Juni 1952) adalah seorang sutradara, penulis, produser, dan aktor film Hollywood.[1]

Biografi

Seorang murid Mack Sennett, St. Clair adalah seorang aktor di banyak film terutama komedi. Dengan tinggi 6'7" ia dapat dilihat dalam film Sennett seperti Yankee Doodle in Berlin, lebih tinggi dari aktor lainnya, berperan sebagai Putra Mahkota Wilhelm. Ia kemudian beralih menjadi sutradara dan menyutradarai hampir 100 film, serta memproduksi lima film lainnya, antara 1915 dan 1948.[2] Saudaranya, Eric St Clair, adalah seorang penulis dan aktor.[3] Ia menyutradarai sebagian besar film Laurel and Hardy selanjutnya di 20th Century Fox, dan setidaknya dua serial Jones Family di studio yang sama .

St Clair pensiun pada tahun 1948 dengan penutupan Unit B 20th Century Fox. Pada tahun 1950, ia ingin menyutradarai Buster Keaton dalam sebuah serial televisi, namun kesehatan yang buruk menghalanginya untuk menyutradarai lagi.

Dia meninggal pada tanggal 1 Juni 1952, pada usia 55 tahun.
