È stata la prima edizione del doppio femminile a Wimbledon, il titolo è andato a Winifred McNair e Dora Boothby in maniera fortuita: le avversarie Charlotte Cooper Sterry e Dorothea Douglass Chambers erano in vantaggio per 4–6, 2–4 ma un infortunio alla gamba patito da Sterry le ha costrette al ritiro.[2]
