アバンサーダ・レヒア
アバンサーダ・レヒア(Avanzada regia)は1990年代中盤にメキシコ合衆国のモンテレイで起こった音楽ムーブメントである。原語はスペイン語で「壮麗・絢爛たる先進派」ほどの意味である。
起源
1995年に、モンテレイのバンドZurdok MovimientoがRockotitlan音楽祭でのバンド・コンテストでメキシコシティ以外出身のバンドとしては初めて優勝した。これにより、レコード会社各社は大きな期待をもってモンテレイに有望なバンドを探しに押し寄せた。二十歳未満ながら才能あるメンバーからなるLa Ultima de Lucasは、このときモンテレイ出身でレコード契約に署名した最初のバンドとなった。
モンテレイ出身のヒップホップ・グループControl Macheteに始まるラテン・アメリカ音楽界のドミノ現象が起き、多くの優れたバンドが出現した。事の発端となったZurdok Movimientoは、ラップコアグループのLa Flor de Lingoと同じく、最終的にポリグラム系のDiscos Manicomioと契約した。
