스피로네마텔라과(Spironematellidae, 이전에 스피로네마과(Spironemidae)로 알려짐)는 헤미마스티고포라류에 속하는 종속영양생물 편모충류 과의 하나이다.[2] 타형형의 Hemimastix amphikineta(14 × 7 μm)부터 가늘고 긴 벌레 모양의 Spironema terricola(43 × 3 μm)까지 크기와 형태가 다양하다.[3]
계통유전학 분석 결과, 헤미마스티고포라군은 진핵생물의 독특하고 오래된 계통으로, 상위군 디아포레틱케스군과 자매 계통군을 형성하는 것으로 나타났다.[4][5]
