Herpesviridae sunt vira biologica ordinis herpesviralum cum genoma acidi deoxyribonucleinici (Classificatio Baltimore: grex I - dsDNA). Propter genomam morphologiamque suam herpesviridae maximae virum sunt. Eae morbos animalium hominumque efficiant.
Familiae herpesviridarum tres subfamiliae, id sunt alphaherpesvirinae, betaherpesvirinae, gammaherpesvirinae (Taxonomia ICTV 2016[1]).
Classificatio ICTV
Taxonomia 2016[1] has subfamilias affert: alphaherpesvirinae, betaherpesvirinae, gammaherpesvirinae.
