Fama est a rege Srong btsan sgam po ministrum Thon mi Sambhoṭa in Indiam missum esse, ut de re Buddhistica quaereret, et in Tibetum reversum scripturam Tibetanam invenisse.[1] Hodie praecipue translitteratio Wylie ad verba Tibetana in abecedarium Latinum convertenda adhibetur.
