Usage

Parameters

Parameter Description Example
 id The internal redlist id number. In http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/149100/0, the id is 149100.
 taxon The scientific name Passer domesticus
 assessors The person or group who assessed the status of the species, if specified BirdLife International
 assessment_year  The year the assessor evaluated the species. 2009
 version The version of the list 2010.2
 accessdate The date you downloaded the data 22 July 2010

accessdate and assessors are optional.

Notes

The output of this template is patterned after the suggested citation format at the bottom of IUCN detail pages, and the template {cite web}. This suggested citation contains all the data needed by this template.

The IUCN version is not to be confused with the criteria version (e.g. 3.1).

The {ref} parameter is supported to optionally allow ref names to be specified, such as "harv" or {harvid}.
