John Ernst Steinbeck Jr. [jon ĕrnst stain-bék] (27 Februari 1902 – 20 Disember 1968) merupakan seorang penulis dari Amerika Syarikat. Beliau memenangi Hadiah Nobel dalam Kesusasteraan "atas penulisannya yang berimaginasi dan realistik melalui penggabungan unsur lawak yang bersimpati dengan sudut pandang yang tajam."[2] Kebanyakan karya beliau dianggap sebagai karya klasik dunia Barat.[3]
