Acton i London
Acton er ein stad i bydelen Ealing i det vestlege London i England . Namnet har angelsaksisk opphav, og tyder «Eikebyen».
Staden oppstod som ein landsby, som er nemnt i Domesday Book 1086 ). Etterkvart som London voks vart Acton absorbert inn i hovudstaden. Staden var sentrum i ein krets i Middlesex frå 1921 til 1965 , og vart så ein del av Ealing og Stor-London.
