James Todd Smith, mest kjent under artistnavnet LL Cool J, (født 14. januar 1968) er en amerikansk rapper og skuespiller. Artistnavnet står for «Ladies Love Cool James».

LL Cool J har gitt ut 13 studioalbum og to samlinger med hans største hits. Hans tolvte album Exit 13 2008 var hans siste for hans mangeårige avtale med Def Jam Recordings. LL Cool J er også vert for Lip Sync Battle på Paramount Network. To ganger har han vunnet Grammy Awards. LL Cool J, er kjent for hiphop-hits som "Going Back to Cali", "I'm Bad", "The Boomin 'System", "Rock the Bells" og "Mama Said Knock You Out ", samt R&B-hits som" Doin 'It "," I Need Love "," All I Have "," Around the Way Girl "og" Hey Lover ". I 2010 rangerte VH1 ham på listen "100 Greatest Artists Of All Time".

Han er bosatt i Nassau County i New York med sin ektefelle og deres fire barn.
