Purpose
This template provide a way to display text without wikification. It provides an alternative to <nowiki> tags and is more consistent with wiki markup syntax.
Usage
{nowiki|[[example]]} → [[example]]
Bugs
Templates, parameters, parser functions, and parser magic such as signatures (~~~~) and the pipe trick are parsed in the argument to this template where they are not with <nowiki> tags:
<nowiki>{tl|nowiki}</nowiki>→ {tl|nowiki}{nowiki|{tl|nowiki}→ <span class="nowrap">{</span>[[Template:nowiki|nowiki]]<span class="nowrap">}</span>
