ਕੀਵੀ (ਫਲ)

ਕੀਵੀ ਜਾਂ ਚੀਨੀ ਗੂਜ਼ਬੇਰ ਐਕਟੀਨਿਡੀਆ ਜਿਨਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਕੜ ਵਾਲ਼ੀ ਵੇਲ ਦਾ ਖਾਣਯੋਗ ਬੇਰਨੁਮਾ ਫਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।^[1]^[2] ਇਹਦਾ ਛਿੱਲੜ ਰੇਸ਼ੇਦਾਰ, ਧੁੰਦਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਾ-ਭੂਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰਲਾ ਗੁੱਦਾ ਚਲਕੀਲੇ ਹਰੇ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿੱਕੇ-ਨਿੱਕੇ, ਕਾਲ਼ੇ, ਖਾਣਯੋਗ ਬੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਫਲ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਦਾ ਕੂਲ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਪਰ ਨਵੇਕਲੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਾਲ਼ਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਇਹਦੀ ਇਟਲੀ, ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ, ਚਿਲੀ, ਗ੍ਰੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸ ਵਰਗੇ ਕਈ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਵਣਜੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਖੇਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।^[3]
