Mohammed V (10 August 1909 – 26 Februar 1961) (Arabic:محمد الخامس) wis Sultan o Morocco frae 1927-53, exiled frae 1953–55, whaur he wis again recognised as Sultan upon his return, an Keeng frae 1957 tae 1961. His full name wis Sidi Mohammed ben Yusef, or Son o (Sultan) Yusef, upon whose daith he succeedit tae the throne. He wis a member o the Alaouite Dynasty.

On 20 August 1953, the French who wur occupyin Morocco at the time forced Mohammed V an his faimily intae exile on Corsica. A relative o his, Mohammed Ben Aarafa, wis placed on the throne. Mohammed V an his faimily wur then transferred tae Madagascar in Januar 1954. Mohammed V returned frae exile on 16 November 1955, an wis again recognised as Sultan efter active opposition tae the French protectorate. In Februar 1956 he successfully negotiatit wi Fraunce for the unthirldom o Morocco, an in 1957 teuk the title o King.
