Suphan Buri might be the site o the legendary Suvarnabhumi, which is mentioned in vera auld Buddhist writins.[1] Housomeivver the first confirmed historical dounset wis in the Dvaravati period, when the ceety wis kent as Mueang Thawarawadi Si Suphannaphumi.
