The Sign of Four The Sign of Four: Sherlock Holmes' Greatest Case britanski crnobijeli krimi film iz 1932. što ga je režirao Graham Cutts . Bio je to treći film iz serijala u kojemu je Arthur Wontner tumačio Sherlocka Holmesa i prvi koji je bio adaptacija Doyleovog istoimenog romana . Iana Fleminga u ulozi dr. Watsona u ovom je filmu zamijenio Ian Hunter.
Film započinje kada mlada žena, Mary Morstan , traži Holmesovu zaštitu od odbjeglog ubojice. Ipak, kada Mary Morstan biva oteta, Holmes i Watson moraju zaći duboko u kriminalno podzemlje kako bi razriješili zamršeni slučaj. Iako film u principu prati radnju romana, izvršene su određene izmjene u scenariju, poput dodavanja otmice Mary Morstan, ubojstva satnika Morstana od strane majora Sholta ili uvođenja "Tetoviranog čovjeka" kao potpuno novog lika.
