The next general election in India is scheduled to be held on or before May 2024 to elect 543 members for the 18th Lok Sabha. The current Prime Minister of India is Narendra Modi of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1]
Election schedule
The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the schedule for the 18th Lok Sabha elections. The tenure of the current 17th Lok Sabha's time will finish on 16 June 2024.[2]
