Carlos Del Toro (born 1961)[1] is a Cuban-born[2] American retired military officer and businessman. He was the 78th United States Secretary of the Navy from 2021 until 2025.
He worked for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and special assistant to the director and deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget. He was also the commanding officer of the USS Bulkeley.[3]
In June 2021, President Joe Biden nominated Del Toro to serve as the United States Secretary of the Navy.[4][5][6]
