The cayenne pepper is a type of chili pepper . It is very hot and is used as a spice . Cayenne pepper is the basis for the hot sauce known as Tabasco , as well as being an ingredient in many other commercially made hot sauces, such as Frank's Red Hot and Cholula. It can also be used in a dried powder form.[1]
