Dearing is a city in Montgomery County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, 382 people lived there.[3]

History

The first post office in Dearing was created in January 1888.[4] The city was incorporated in 1909.[5]

Geography

Dearing is at 37°3′29″N 95°42′35″W / 37.05806°N 95.70972°W / 37.05806; -95.70972 (37.058083, -95.709824).[6] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.51 square miles (3.91 km2). All of it is land.[2]

As of the census of 2020, there were 382 people, 171 households, and 114 families living in the city. Of the households, 80.1% owned their home and 19.9% rented their home.
