The Hyundai Terracan is a mid-size SUV made by Hyundai from 2001 to 2007 it replaced the Hyundai Galloper.
History and Features
The Hyundai Terracan was previewed by the concept Hyundai Highland.[1] and was launched in 2001 the SUV had a chassis that was derived from the Mitsubishi Pajero.[2] the name is derived from Tarascan which was a mesoamerican empire.
it has a 2.4 liter (avaliable in China only) and a 3.5 V6 Gasoline engines and a 2.5 and 2.9 turbo diesel engines with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Markets
The Hyundai Terracan was sold in South Korea Europe India Australia New Zealand and South America in China it was sold and made by Hawtai as the Hawtai Terracan from 2003 to 2011.
Discontinuation
The Hyundai Terracan was discontinued in 2007 due to weak sales and was replaced by the Hyundai Veracruz.
