Kangla

The Palace of Kangla (Old Manipuri: ꯀꯪꯂꯥ, romanized: kang-laa, lit.'dry land') was the earliest known fortified capital city of Ancient Manipur.[1] It served as the seat of administration of the rulers of many dynasties, right from the reign of Emperor Tangja Leela Pakhangba in 1445 BC (15th century BC),[2] though significant advanced developments belonged to the post periods of Nongda Lairen Pakhangba (33 AD - 153 AD).[3][4][5]
