Like a Virgin (song)
"Like a Virgin" is a 1984 dance-pop song from American singer Madonna. The song is from the singer's album of the same name.
The song was Madonna's first #1 song in Canada, Australia, the United States and Japan. On the United States Billboard Hot 100, the song was at #1 for six weeks.[1] It also hit the Top 10 elsewhere.
"Like a Virgin" has been covered by a number of singers. Alexandra Stan covered the song in the 2010s.
Madonna's public character of a sexually shameless and supremely confident woman was widely accepted by younger generations.
