Roeland Park is a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. In 2020, 6,871 people lived there.[4]

Geography

2020 census

The 2020 census says that there were 6,871 people, 3,201 households, and 1,740 families living in Roeland Park. Of the households, 71.8% owned their home and 28.2% rented their home.

The median age was 34.5 years. Of the people, 80.5% were White, 3.7% were Black, 2.0% were Asian, 0.4% were Native American, 0.2% were Pacific Islanders, 4.0% were from some other race, and 9.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.0% of the people.[3][6]

The 2010 census[7] says that there were 6,731 people, 3,065 households, and 1,732 families living in Roeland Park.

Education

The city is part of the Shawnee Mission School District.
