Shad Gaspard (January 13, 1981 – May 17, 2020) was an American professional wrestler and actor. He was best known for wrestling for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He teamed with JTG and they formed the tag team, Cryme Tyme. Gaspard later began an acting career which he stated in an interview for Right After Wrestling.[1] He starred in Get Hard.

Gaspard was born in New York City.

On March 5, 2011, Gaspard was arrested by police in Columbus, Ohio for having allegedly refused the commands of a police officer and then resisting arrest for jaywalking.[2][3] He was later cleared of all charges in July 2011.[4]

On May 17, 2020, Gaspard was caught in a strong rip current at Marina del Rey beach in Venice Beach, California.[5][6] On May 20, 2020, his body was found washed up in Venice Beach, California, three days after he had gone missing and identified by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.[7] He was 39 years old.[7]
