Ultravox

Ultravox was a British new wave band formed in 1974 by musicians Billy Currie on keyboards and violin, John Foxx as singer and Stevie Shears as a guitar player. Later, Midge Ure became their singer instead of Foxx.

They were originally named Tiger Lily. In 1976 they changed their name to "Ultravox!" with the exclamation mark being similar to the band Neu!'s name. The exclamation mark was never used again after the release of their second album.
