Historia

L'Academia Polaca de Ciencies ye una institución d'estudios del estáu polacu, con sede en Varsovia. Foi establecida en 1952 pola fusión de sociedaes anteriores d'estudios, incluyendos Academia Polaca d'Aprender (Polska Akademia Umiejętności, abreviatura PAU), col so asientu en Cracovia, y la Sociedá Científica de Varsovia (Towarzystwo Naukowe Warszawskie), que foi fundada nel sieglu XVIII como Sociedá de Varsovia de los Amigos de Ciencies (Warszawskie Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Nauk).
