Sistema de puntuación
Per primer vegada dende 1961 introducióse un cambéu nos puntos axudicaos, al aumentar de 9 a 10 los puntos del vencedor. Amás, esanicióse la llende máxima de carreres computables. Con éses axudicáronse puntos a los seis primeros llugares (10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1). Na última carrera, el Gran Premiu d'Australia, axudicáronse les metá de les puntuaciones (5, 3, 2, 1.5, 1, 0.5) a tolos clasificaos, al ser suspendida la carrera poles males condiciones climatolóxiques.
