Arsen Suleymanovich Fadzaev (Russian: Арсен Сулейманович Фадзаев; born 5 September 1962, in Chikola, North Ossetia–Alania, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is a former Soviet wrestler, World champion and Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling. He also ran as a candidate for SRZP in the 2022 North Ossetia–Alania parliamentary election.[1]

Olympics

Fadzaev competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul where he received his first Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling.[2] He won another gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He competed for Uzbekistan at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he finished 13th.

Sanctioned by the UK government in 2022 in relation to Russo-Ukrainian War. [3]
