Zarand (Persian: زرند)[3] is a city in the Central District of Zarand County, Kerman province, Iran, and serves as both capital of the county and of the district. The city is about 75 kilometres (47 mi) northwest of the provincial capital of Kerman.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 54,745 in 12,992 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 57,749 people in 15,461 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 60,370 people in 16,722 households.[2]
