Robert Olen Butler

Biografia
Robert Olen Butler è nato il 20 gennaio 1945 a Granite City, nell'Illinois.
Dopo gli studi alla Northwestern University e all'Università dell'Iowa[1], Butler, arruolatosi nell'esercito nel 1969, viene impiegato come agente speciale dell'intelligence e traduttore durante la guerra del Vietnam[2].
Autore molto prolifico, dopo il suo esordio nel 1981 con The Alleys of Eden (respinto da più di venti editori[3]), ha scritto altri 11 romanzi e 6 raccolte di Short Stories tra cui I cento figli del drago, premio Pulitzer nel 1993[4].
