Krefeld (German pronunciation: [ˈkʁeːfɛlt]), kent as Crefeld till 1929, is a ceety in North Rhine-Westphalie, Germany. It is locatit northwast o Düsseldorf, its centre lyin juist a few kilometres tae the wast o the River Rhine; the burgh o Uerdingen is situatit directly on the Rhine. Krefeld is accessed bi the autobahns A57 (Cologne - Nijmegen) an the A44 (Aachen - Düsseldorf - Dortmund - Kassel)
