The Rhein-Erft-Kreis is a destrict in the wast o North Rhine-Westphalie, Germany. Neebourin destricts are Rhein-Kreis Neuss, destrict-free Cologne, Rhein-Sieg, Euskirchen, Düren.
History
The destrict in its current borders wis creatit in 1975, when the previous destricts Bergheim an Cologne wur mergit. Becomin effective on 1 November 2003 the destrict wis renamit frae Erftkreis tae Rhein-Erft-Kreis.
Geografie
The main river in the destrict is the Erft, which gave it the name an aw. The Erft flows through the fuiothills o the Eifel, on the left side o the Rhine river.
