Ranunculus glacialis, the glacier crowfoot or glacier buttercup, is a plant o the faimily Ranunculaceae.
Distribution
Ranunculus glacialis is an arctic-alpine species, foond in the heich muntains o soothren Europe (Alps, Pyrenees, Carpathians, Sierra Nevada) as well as on the Scandinavie peninsula, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Jan Mayen, Svalbard an eastren Greenland.
It is bi mony accoonts the heichest ascendin plant in the Alps, flouerin at ower 4,000 m.
Subspecies
A subspecies, Ranunculus glacialis subsp. chamissonis, is foond on either side o the Bering Strait in Siberie, Roushie an Alaska, U.S..
